This video is a recording of the 2D Unity-based video game I created as a means of developing a counter-cartography of Maggi's 1930 board game.
Taking the 1930 Maggi board game as a reference, our project proposes a counter-cartography to the map illustrated on the board and counter-dynamics to those established in the game by the Maggi company. As a final product, we designed a video game that intends to point out, in a didactic and ludic way, Maggi's lack of social and environmental responsibility throughout the world. Likewise, as it is a video game, it’s designed to be disseminated in order to amplify the counter-narratives that question the colonial and exploitative discourses exposed by the company. This purpose is achieved through the map itself and through disclosures of data, present in the video game, that tie together the different capitalistic and colonial corporative techniques that Maggi follows in the present throughout the world.
